Grant Description
Grants of up to $15,000 to Louisiana nonprofit organizations in eligible areas for emergency capital projects. Funding may be used for projects such as additions to existing facilities, replacements, and repairs. Applicants must be partner agencies of the United Way.The McClure Fund supports the emergency bricks-and-mortar projects of eligible organizations in the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s thirteen parish service areas in Southeast Louisiana (Assumption, Jefferson, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, and Washington parishes).

The intent of the McClure Fund is to fill the funding gap between major capital expenses requiring a capital fund drive and minor capital needs, which can be planned for and included in an agency’s annual operating budget. Because of the limited nature of these funds, priority consideration will be given to those requests that are capital in nature and respond to a crisis and/or emergency.
