St. Landry–Evangeline United Way provides and supports programs that strengthen individuals, families, and communities throughout St. Landry and Evangeline Parishes, including:

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library – Provides free, age-appropriate books each month to enrolled children from birth through age five.
Louisiana Prisoner Reentry Initiative – Connects formerly incarcerated individuals with employment, housing, transportation, education, mental health services, identification assistance, and other community resources.
Feed Our Neighbors – Supports local food pantries, food drives, and emergency food-assistance efforts for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) – Offers free income-tax preparation to eligible individuals and families.
Rocking Chair Readers – Promotes early literacy through volunteers who read to young children in community and educational settings.
ALICE Community Education and Outreach – Raises awareness of the challenges faced by Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed households and encourages community-based solutions.
Disaster Response and Recovery – Coordinates donations, volunteers, emergency supplies, and partnerships to assist communities affected by disasters.
